After winning eight games on the trot, India will lock horns with the Netherlands in their final league-stage match of the ICC World Cup 2023. With India set to enter the semis as the top-ranked team in the standings, fans and experts are expecting them to rest several key players in this dead rubber. 

Meanwhile, India's head coach, Rahul Dravid, has given a massive hint about their playing combination for this face-off. 

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Dravid stated that the players have had enough rest, courtesy of a six-day gap between India's penultimate and final league-stage match in the tournament. 

Therefore, we shouldn't be surprised if India decide to field the same playing XI that played against South Africa in Kolkata. 

"We have had 6 days off and are pretty well rested. The guys are in good shape and that's all I will say," Dravid said. 

When asked whether they would bat or bowl against the Dutch, Dravid said they would assess the pitch and playing conditions before taking the final call. 

"We have batted and bowled first and we have been pretty comfortable in both. We'll take a look at the wicket and decide what we want to do. There's an advantage on both things. The toss is not in our hands and will not be in our hands in the semis as well," he added.

After taking on the Netherlands, India will fly to Mumbai to face New Zealand in the first semifinal on November 15.
