Kolkata Knight Riders are the winners of the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League, and there are high expectations from them coming into the 2025 edition. They have a new captain this season and have left out some key players which made them champion last season and there are now rumours that they are going back to their vintage Black and Gold jersey as well.

KKR To Have Different Home And Away Jerseys For IPL 2025?

The franchise used the black colour in the initial two seasons, but things did not go their way and they decided to change the colour to purple in the 2011 season. They won three trophies with that jersey, but now some of the photos are showing KKR players in Black and Gold jerseys which has sparked rumours colour change rumours ahead of the March 22 encounter.

The players like Rinku Singh and Manish Pandey are seen in black colour jersey in photoshoots. However, those are not from official accounts, and there is no sign of black jersey in KKR's official accounts. The people on social media are speculating that they will use away jersey for a black one while the home jersey will be the purple one.

All those seem to be just the rumours though as KKR are practicing in their purple jersey ahead of the season, and if there was any change in jersey, they would have announced it till now with just few days to go for the opening game.

Kolkata Knight Riders will kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against RCB in the curtain raiser of the tournament on March 23.
