The two biggest IPL teams - Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are all set to face each other once again at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. These two teams have already clashed once this season, where CSK beat MI by 4 wickets in Chennai.

Both teams have had a rough start in IPL 2025 and are looking to bounce back. CSK even had to change their captain mid-season due to Ruturaj Gaikwad’s injury. MI have shown some good performances in patches, but they haven’t played well as a team yet.

Now, the big question on fans’ minds is – Will Karn Sharma play today or not? Here's what we know.

Will Karn Sharma Play Today Against CSK?

In MI’s last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 17, Karn Sharma got hurt while fielding. He was hit on the hand and had to leave the field. He didn’t even get a chance to bowl in that match. This injury came just after he had delivered a match-winning performance against Delhi Capitals, where he took 3 wickets.

Ahead of the high-voltage match against CSK, Mitchell Santner, who plays for MI, gave an update about Karn’s injury.Mitchell Santner said:

"He has got a couple of stitches in his hand. He's here today, I'm not sure if he's bowling or if he's available for tomorrow, but it looked like a nasty little cut and it's a shame." 

This means Karn Sharma’s availability for today’s match is still uncertain. Even though he is present with the team, his hand injury may stop him from playing.
