The fifth edition of the Hundred will start on August 5th. As is known, a few of the IPL franchises have invested in the Hundred from this season.
In this article, we take a deeper look at the intersection between the IPL and the Hundred. Several high-profile players will be participating in the upcoming tournament from the Mumbai Indians, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Chennai Super Kings. Here is a look at the players from these three IPL teams who will be playing in The Hundred 2025.

In IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians bought the Kiwi pacer for ₹12.5 Cr. The left-arm pacer had a quiet start to the tournament, but as it went on, Trent Boult picked up his rhythm and form. He finished IPL 2025 with 22 wickets in 16 matches at an average of 23.50 and an economy of 8.97.
Will Jacks - Oval Invincibles
Mumbai Indians bought Will Jacks for ₹5.25 during the IPL 2025 mega auction. He played 13 matches and scored 233 runs in them at an average of 23.30 and a strike rate of 135.47. Jacks also contributed with the ball, picking up six wickets while conceding runs at an economy of 8.57.
Mitchell Santner - Northern Superchargers
The five-time IPL champions bought the Kiwi all-rounder for ₹2 Cr. They used him more as a horses-for-courses player.
Mitchell Santner's bowling became more important for MI during the tournament. In the 13 matches that he played, Santner picked up 10 wickets while maintaining an economy of less than eight runs per over.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Players
Phil Salt - Manchester Originals
The English wicket-keeper and opening batter was one of the main architects of RCB's championship run. Phil Salt was bought by the franchise for ₹11.50 Cr.
Salt laid the foundation for the 2025 champions in most of the games, playing with positive intent at the top of the order. In 13 matches, he scored 403 runs at a strike rate of 175.98 and an average of 33.58.
Liam Livingstone - Birmingham Phoenix
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured the services of the English all-rounder for ₹8.75 Cr. They bought him to be a finisher and also a utility bowler in the middle phase of the game.
However, Liam Livingstone turned out to be one of the worst investments for RCB. In 10 matches, he scored 112 runs with only one 50. With the ball, too, he was able to pick up only two wickets in the nine overs that he bowled.
Jacob Bethell - Birmingham Phoenix
The English all-rounder Bethell was bought for ₹2.6 Cr. The idea was to use the dynamic young player at the top of the order. However, Jacob Bethell did not get too many opportunities in the tournament, because the RCB overseas players were already performing well.

The southpaw played two matches and scored 67 runs in them with a half-century. Even though he did not play a significant role in the IPL 2025, he could be an asset for the franchise in the upcoming years.
Chennai Super Kings Stars
Noor Ahmad - Manchester Originals
The Afghan star turned out to be the best investment for the CSK in the IPL 2025 auction. They spent ₹10 Cr to buy the player, and he delivered with some great spells throughout the tournament.

Noor Ahmad played 14 matches and picked up 24 wickets in them. His economy rate was also on spot throughout the tournament at 8.16.
Rachin Ravindra - Manchester Originals
CSK used the RTM card on Rachin Ravindra and kept him in the squad for the IPL 2025 squad for ₹4 Cr. However, due to his rusty form, CSK did not use him for long in the tournament. In the season, he played eight matches and scored 191 runs in them, while scoring at a strike rate of 128.19.
Sam Curran - Oval Invincibles
The English all-rounder was bought for ₹2.40. Sam Curran also had limited opportunities in the tournament. He played in five matches and scored 114 runs in them at a strike rate of 135.71. However, Curran failed to deliver with his prime trade as he was able to pick up only one wicket in the five games while having an economy of over 11 runs per over.
Jamie Overton - London Spirit
One more English all-rounder and one more player whom CSK failed to utilise properly. Notably, Jamie Overton played only three matches and scored 15 runs while failing to take a single wicket.
