Team India is set to face hosts West Indies in a set of three ODIs and five T20I matches in a bid to prepare for the ODI World Cup later this year. Ahead of the all-important series opener, team veterans Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya were involved in a training session.

While the two cricketers seemingly appeared sweating it out in the nets, Kohli lightened up the mood by mocking Pandya with a dance number.

Hardik Pandya was seen bowling to his senior teammate Virat Kohli during a nets session ahead of the first ODI against West Indies. Training under a scorching Caribbean heat, Kohli confidently middled one of Pandya through the off side.

As it turned out, the former Indian captain followed up his batting effort by mocking the all-rounder with a dance number. The 34-year-old imitated the umpire’s boundary signal through a dance just as Pandya was making his way back to the bowling mark.

In the meantime, both Kohli and Pandya are expected to feature in India’s playing XI in each of the three impending ODIs in West Indies. The series serves as a dress rehearsal ahead of the all-important ODI World Cup, set to be hosted by India in October and November.

The ‘Men in Blue’ will subsequently engage with the hosts in a five-match T20I series. Pandya, in the absence of a number of seniors, will lead the side with Suryakumar Yadav being his deputy.
