Rajasthan Royals were dealt with a set-back prior to their all-important fixture against the Chennai Super Kings on Thursday evening after their star pacer Trent Boult got ruled out due to a niggle.

RR skipper Sanju Samson informed the same at the toss after the home side won the toss at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur and opted to bat first.

Samson stated that the Kiwi swing bowler will be not taking part in the heavyweight clash due to a suspected niggle. The nature of the injury is yet not confirmed.

As a result, Rajasthan made a forced change to their starting XI, with wrist-spinner Adam Zampa filling the fourth overseas spot.

Boult has been the wrecker-in-chief for the Royals, often getting his side an early breakthrough, and in his absence, the onus will be on Sandeep Sharma to provide RR early wickets.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan have got off to a sensational start to their innings thanks to some imperious strokeplay from dynamic uncapped Indian southpaw, Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Jaiswal kickstarted the innings by driving left-arm seamer Akash Singh for a couple of fours, and he has not looked behind since, painting the Sawai Man Singh Stadium with his glorious strokeplay.

After a blistering of an innings, the home team has posted a match-winning total of 202-5, courtesy Jaiswal's 77 and firing cameos from Dhruv Jurel (34) and Devdutt Padikkal (24*).
