Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had a night to remember as Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya stitched together a brilliant partnership against Delhi Capitals during the 2025 IPL season. The duo added an unbeaten 119-run stand for the 4th wicket, making it one of the highest partnerships for that position in RCB's history.

RCB avenged their previous loss by beating DC at the latter’s home in Delhi. In the first inning, the Capitals put 162 runs on the board at the loss of 8 wickets, as a lack of partnership hurt them.

In the chase, despite early wickets, Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya stepped up for RCB to knit a match-winning partnership and also scripted history in the process.

In the chase, RCB lost 3 wickets with just 26 runs on the board. However, the management promoted senior all-rounder Krunal Pandya up the order, a decision that turned out to be the difference for RCB in hindsight.

Krunal and Kohli knitted a 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket, which is the fifth-highest for that position in RCB’s history. While Virat played his usual stylish strokes with calmness, Krunal showed aggression when needed, giving RCB a victory.

Owing to the duo’s partnership, RCB chased down the total in 18.3 overs to win the game by 6 wickets. While Virat Kohli scored 51 off 47 balls, Krunal contributed with 73* off 47 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes.

Meanwhile, after the win against DC, RCB climbed to the top of the points table with 7 wins and 14 points in 10 games.

Also, this is RCB’s 6th consecutive away win of the IPL 2025 season, making it the most achieved by any IPL team in a single season.
