Over the last 15 years, the Indian Cricket team has produced two outstanding players in Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The duo known as "RO-KO", have won countless matches for their nation and have helped the team win multiple trophies as well. The two are adored everywhere in India, but from Wednesday onwards, Virat Kohli fans are bashing Rohit.

The India captain, Rohit, had his 38th birthday yesterday and in an interview, Rohit mad a bizarre statement which triggered Kohli fans and they went after him on social media.

What did Rohit Sharma say?

"My goal has never been that I have to score so many runs in this IPL season. My goal is that I have to win matches for MI & I try my best for that. Whether 600 runs, 700 or 800 runs are scored but if your team hasn't won trophy then no use of your runs".

This was Rohit's statement during the interview and Kohli fans believe that through this message, he took a dig at Kohli, who has had multiple IPL seasons with 600-plus runs, but the RCB great has never touched the trophy.

What was the reaction from Kohli fans?

"Rohit Sharma is indirectly saying that Piyush Chawla is bigger match winner than him."

"Always taking jibs bcoz he couldn't do it himself Otherwise he always boasts about his 5 wc 100's nice hypocrisy."

"Had Rohit Sharma played in any other team, the he would have been kicked out for not scoring consistently and getting paid a lot. MI will win without his contributions. Takes a shameless dig against Kohli."

"Just like your ODI career holds no value because you have zero ODI world cups, this is the same person who once hyped up his three double centuries and five hundreds in the 2019 World Cup."

There is no clarity that Rohit said anything negative about Kohli, but the fans of RCB opener have not stopped taking a dig at MI great.
