The Pakistan team along with the new support staff and new captain, Shan Masood are putting in the hard yards in Australia for the upcoming three-match Test series against the Aussies. In the four-day practice game, Abrar Ahmed, the mystery spinner of the Pakistan team felt discomfort in his right leg and has been ruled out for the Perth Test now.

Pakistan are flying out Sajid Khan as Abrar's replacement for the first Test of the series. Sajid Khan is an off-spinner who has featured in only seven Test matches. Considering the amount of left-handers in the Australian team, Sajid Khan's off-spin skills will come in handy for the men in Green.

In April 2021, Sajid Khan got to play his first Test and made his international debut against Zimbabwe. In around three years, Sajid has only been part of seven Test matches and has scalped 22 wickets.

With Usman Khwaja, David Warner, Travis Head, Alex Carey, and Mitchell Starc, the Australian team will have five left-handers in their playing eleven, and Sajid Khan will be the only conventional off-break bowler in Pakistan's line-up.

With the experience of 66 first-class games, Sajid will be facing no issues while bowling in Australian conditions, even though this will be his first Test in the SENA. He has taken 234 wickets in 66 first-class games, which not only makes him experienced but also consistent.

The Pakistan team will be playing three Tests in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. They have yet to win a Test on Australian soil since 1995/96 and will try to change that in the coming series.
