What Is The The Hundred 2025 Format?

The Hundred is a white-ball cricket tournament created by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), featuring eight city-based teams competing for both men's and women's titles. The 2025 edition runs from August 5 to August 31, with 64 matches in total, 32 for men and 32 for women. Uniquely, each men's and women's match is played back-to-back on the same day at the same venue, with one ticket granting access to both games.

Notably, each team bats for 100 balls, and the side with the highest score wins. Bowlers can deliver a maximum of 20 balls, either in 5-ball or 10-ball sets.

Each team plays four home and four away matches, facing every other team once plus an additional match against a regional rival. After the group stage, the top three teams advance to the knockout round: the second and third-placed teams face off in an Eliminator at The Oval, and the winner meets the top team in the Final at Lord’s on August 31.
