Pakistan skipper Babar Azam had asserted that his side is not a 'one-man squad' and that the other members of the contingent are good enough to fill the vacuum created with the absence of left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi.

Pakistan was dealt with a massive body blow earlier this month when it was confirmed that Shaheen will miss the Asia Cup due to a knee injury he sustained during the 1st Test against Sri Lanka last month.

To make matters worse, right-arm pacer Mohammad Wasim Jr also got ruled due to injury earlier this week, forcing Pakistan to recall all-rounder Hasan Ali.

However, Babar isn't bothered about the setbacks as he believes that there are enough ammunition in his sides' tank.

Here's what Babar said in the pre-tournament press-conference

“We have a squad full of quality cricketers and match-winners, who will step-up in the absence of Shaheen Shah Afridi and take additional responsibility during the tournament. In the 2021 T20 World Cup, we have already demonstrated we are not a one-man squad. In five league matches, we had five different player of the matches.

Pakistan have done well recently and will be relatively high on confidence when they take on arch-rivals India in their Asia Cup opener on August 28.
