Virat Kohli, and Babar Azam are two of the greatest batters in the modern era. While Babar has been in sensational form over the last few years, Kohli has struggled to churn out runs, and is returning to action after almost a month. Indian fans will be hoping that the former Indian skipper comes back to form against their arch-rivals.

The two champion batters have great admiration for each other and in a recent interview with Star Sports, Kohli has showered praise on his Asian counterpart. He talked about their first-ever interaction and how the two players have great respect for each other.

"The first interaction I had with him wast at the 2019 World Cup, after the game in Manchester. We sat down, and spoke about the game. There was a lot of regard and respect that I saw from day one and that hasn't changed, regardless of the fact that he is probably the top batsman in the world right now."

"He has been performing consistently and rightly so he has amazing talent, and I have always enjoyed watching him play. So that hasn't changed because he has performing now and his attitude and his approach hasn't changed towards me, which is a very good sign of someone who is very grounded in his foundation."
