Megan Schutt created history in the Women's Big Bash League as she became the first ever bowler to claim a six wicket haul. With it she recorded her best bowling figure at 6 for 19.
Rachael Haynes bid adieu
It was a special night as Megan Schutt's Australian teammate Rachael Haynes was playing the last game of her career. Adelaide Strikers, on the back of Schutt's exceptional performance managed a comfortable win over the Sydney Thunders.
Schutt's performance completely overshadowed Haynes' last match as she could only score 6 runs off ten deliveries.
Haynes, who announced in September that she would retire after the current WBBL season. She scored 3,818 international runs out of which she scored 2,585 in ODIs.
She debuted for Australia in 2009 and hit a blistering 98 on her debut. She captained Australia in 14 games.
