Even though the express pacer, Umran Malik is not playing the 2nd T20I against New Zealand, the Jammu-based pacer revealed that he is working on slower deliveries and yorker, and also on pitching deliveries on a hard length.
Before the start of the game against the Kiwis, Umran had a brief conversation with the official broadcaster and talked about the new things he's trying out as a pace bowler.
"I am working on developing new deliveries. Like I am working on slower and yorker deliveries for T20s. Also I am working on good length and hard length deliveries. I am enjoying a lot working alonsgide the coaches and feels really good," Umran said.
When asked on why his speed got reduced in Ireland, Umran stated that:
"In Ireland, there was a little bit cold, so body wasn't opening up really well. It takes a bit of time for body to open up in cold conditions. It was a little bit more cold (than it is in Jammu)."
What is it like playing for India?
"When I am playing for India, it is my national duty. If I do well, will stay in the team for long. I just want to play for India and perform well," Umran added.
