One of the leading exponents in innovative and out-of-the-box batting, India's Suryakumar Yadav has engaged in a cheeky banter with Afghanistan's off-spinner Rashid Khan over social media site Instagram.
Khan, who is currently in Sri Lanka ahead of Afghanistan's three-ODI series against Pakistan, shared a clip of his training montage that witnessed the all-rounder display some exquisite shots captioned, "Spending my Sunday in my fav spot,"
However, the one that caught Yadav's keen eye was the no-look slog over the mid-wicket region, which the Indian batter wished to learn as well. Yadav ranked No.1 T20I Batter in ICC Rankings commented on Khan's post saying, "Ye no look wale shot ki training leni padegi".
Khan responded to Yadav, saying how SKY himself is a master of the famous 'Supla' shot, "

Both Yadav and Khan share an extremely cordial friendship and have often seen appreciating and engrossing in banter.
In IPL 2023, Khan nearly overshadowed Yadav during an encounter between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians. Chasing 219, GT's Khan struck a quick-fire 32-ball 72 with three fours and ten sixes as Yadav slammed a 103 not-out for MI.
The 24-year-old has scored as many as five ODI fifties for Afghanistan in 89 matches, amassing 1,142 runs, and highly regarded as a dangerous lower-order batter in T20s.
Khan will be in action on Tuesday, when Afghanistan clash against Pakistan in Hambantota for the 1st ODI.
