Soon after the completion of the game between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), talismanic batter Virat Kohli was seen engaged in an intense conversation with MI owner Nita Ambani at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

As a post-match ritual, Kohli, who was fielding in the second innings for RCB, was observed shaking hands with MI team players and the members of the coaching staff. 

After a lengthy stroll, Kohli headed directly to Nita Ambani, who had entered the ground to congratulate her team on their second victory of the tournament.

She was engrossed in a conversation with the batting maestro. In the clip, he was seen listening to Kohli very keenly as the RCB opener appeared to be making some points.

In match number 25 of the ongoing IPL 2024 season at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, MI secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over RCB.

Batting first, RCB posted a total of 196/8, led by skipper Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Dinesh Karthik, who all contributed half-centuries. Jasprit Bumrah stood out for MI with a five-wicket haul.

MI's chase got off to a flying start with Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma dominating, amassing 72 runs in the powerplay. Ishan played aggressively, scoring 69 off 34 balls (7 fours, 5 sixes), while Rohit added 38 runs from 24 balls. 

The partnership of 101 runs in 8.5 overs was broken when Ishan was dismissed by Akash Deep.

Making just his second appearance of the season, Suryakumar Yadav showed his class with a quickfire 52 runs off 19 balls, including 5 fours and 4 sixes. 

With only 21 runs needed off 39 balls after SKY's dismissal, skipper Hardik Pandya (21* off 6) and Tilak Varma (16* off 10) guided MI to victory in a swift manner.
