In the meantime, Virat Kohli is currently in India for the ongoing 2023 World Cup. The ongoing tournament marks his fourth World Cup appearance, and his second at home following India’s triumphant run in the 2011 edition.

Kohli, alongside his skipper Rohit Sharma are some of the seniormost members in the side tasked to lead the ‘Men in Blue’ to another World Cup glory at home, and their first in 12 years.

The batting maverick continues to remain one of the greatest modern-day cricketers at the moment. Having minted over 25,000 runs across all formats, the right-handed batter has amassed 77 international centuries, including 47 in ODIs. Kohli is expected to either level-up or surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time century record in the ongoing 2023 World Cup itself.
