WWE legend The Great Khali met Indian captain Rohit Sharma on the eve of the 2023 World Cup at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The former professional wrestler was seen posing with the coveted trophy, alongside captains from all competing nations of the tournament.

Interestingly, Khali also shared a message for India’s arch-rivals Pakistan ahead of their much-awaited clash in Ahmedabad.

Dalip Singh Rana, known by his ring name The Great Khali, caught up with Rohit Sharma and other World Cup 2023 captains a day prior to the launch of the tournament at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The former professional wrestler was invited as a chief guest for the Captains’ Day Meet, where he also posed with the World Cup trophy and had a personal chat with the Indian skipper.

Present at the iconic venue, the wrestler-turned-politician also took this opportunity to issue a warning to the Pakistan cricket team. Khali said that he is looking forward to see Team India facing their arch-rivals at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 14, and wished the ‘Men in Blue’ players for prevailing in the tournament.

Before going up against their arch-rivals, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team will be facing five-time winners Australia to kick-off their tournament campaign on October 8. The match will be hosted by the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The ‘Men in Blue’ will subsequently face Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 11.
