Virat Kohli, one of India’s biggest cricket stars, has always been a key player for the national team. As the world celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, Kohli shared a heartfelt message highlighting the unfair treatment women often face in society.

Virat Kohli Speaks On Gender Bias

In a video shared by staywrogn, Virat Kohli pointed out how the same actions are judged differently for men and women. He gave an example of how people react when a man and a woman return home late at night. If a man comes home late, people simply say,

“He’s late.” However, if a woman does the same, she is often labeled “loose.” This stark contrast in judgment reflects the deep-rooted biases that women face daily.

The video carried a powerful message with the caption: “Bias wears many names. Women hear them all. It’s about time that changed. What’s one word you wish was never used to describe women?”

Kohli’s statement resonated with many, as it shed light on how words can shape perceptions and reinforce stereotypes.

Virat Kohli's Performance In Champions Trophy

On the cricketing front, Kohli is currently playing in the Champions Trophy 2025, where he has been in outstanding form. He has scored 217 runs in four innings, with a strike rate of 83.14 and an impressive average of 72.33.

His performances include a century against Pakistan and a match-winning 84 against Australia, making him one of the top performers in the tournament. As of now, he stands as the fourth-highest run scorer in the competition and the leading scorer for India.
