The game between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi at Gaddafi Stadium at Lahore on Tuesday saw another ugly clash between old foes Sohail Tanvir and Ben Cutting.
The Australian all-rounder and Pakistani pacer might be looking at receiving a fine for their explicit gesture at each other. The incident took place in the 19th over of the 1st innings, when Cutting smashed Tanvir to all corners of the ground, smashing three consecutive sixes.
Earlier, in the 2018 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), the two were at loggerheads during a game between St. Kitts and Nevis and Guyana Amazon Warriors.
After being hit for six straight down the ground, Tanvir came back and yorked the Australian, giving him an obscene send-off. However, Cutting returned the favour at Lahore in the ongoing tournament, after smashing him for three consecutive sixes. The left-arm pacer seemed to be miffed with Cutting’s gesture and the two even had a conversation on the latter's follow-through.
Then, after his breezy knock of 36 off 14 balls, the Sydney Thunder dasher was eventually dismissed off Naseem Shah’s short-pitched delivery. Tanvir again made the explicit gesture at Cutting after completing the catch.
