In an interesting development just before the Gujarat Titans versus Punjab Kings IPL 2024 fixture begins, Sam Curran, the INR 18.5 crore acquisition of the Shikhar Dhawan-led side, practiced in a way that was never seen before.

The 25-year-old, who has been performing incredibly well this season, has not found much support from others. So he decided to bowl left-arm orthodox, and Punjab Kings did not miss out on the opportunity to post it on social media before the Titans fixture.

Nevertheless, this is not going to happen in reality, as Curran has been doing impressively with his left-arm medium fast variations. He has taken four wickets in three matches thus far, averaging 17, and at the same time, he has also scored 86 runs in the competition.

Having won once in three attempts, Punjab Kings are seventh on the points table with NRR of -0.337. Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, are fifth, with two wins in three attempts.

For Punjab, Curran will surely be in the playing XI, along with Jonny Bairstow and Kagiso Rabada, while Liam Livingstone’s participation in the contest is in doubt.
