With Jasprit Bumrah ruled out of Champions Trophy, India cannot afford another injury scare mere days prior to the start of their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh. Prior to the mega event, the India captain, Rohit Sharma was set to attend a photo shoot for the Champions Trophy, but disaster almost struck him.
Rohit was going for a photoshoot alongside his teammates, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant, and while going for the event, Rohit almost slipped but handled himself as he avoided a major injury scare ahead of the Champions Trophy tournament.
Had he slipped, Rohit could have had a twisted ankle, which could have put his tournament in jeopardy, but luckily, he survived as the entire India had a sigh of relief. The video which is surfacing was taken a few days ago, when Rohit, alongside Pant, Iyer and Virat Kohli shot an ad which became popular amongst cricket lovers.
Team India lands in Dubai, Rohit holds key for India
With their first match of Champions Trophy on February 20, Team India landed in Dubai, a couple of days ago. They started their training on Sunday as the entire side is sweating it out ahead of the mega clash.
India, alongside host Pakistan will start as one of the tournament favourites, and Rohit Sharma will hold the key for India. The captain of the ODI Side scored a blistering century against England, recently in the 2nd ODI and is the man in form of India ahead of the competition.
