The Champions Trophy 2025 has been full of controversies - from the hybrid model to the stadium renovation delay, the event has been marred with all the negative news. Now, with just a few days left for the ICC tournament to commence, PCB's new blunder has sparked another frustration amongst fans.
Chaos at National Stadium Karachi
The Karachi's National Stadium was renovated alongside the Gaddafi Stadium, however the scoreboard issue at the National Stadium has made fans frustrated with PCB's arrangements. As per reports, The fans expressed their displeasure with the scoreboard screen placed at the venue, which is only visible to one side of the enclosure and for nearly 50% of the spectators, the scoreboard is blocked, which makes access to the live score difficult.
During the recent tri-series matches at the Karachi Stadium, the scoreboard was visible at the large LED screens, while the smaller LED's were used for advertisements, and since the view of the large LED's were only visible to half of the crowd, it created a difficulty for the fans as they were unable to track the score even after spending hefty amount of money to watch the game.
Moreover, there were jammers at the stadium, which meant that there was no internet facility and the fans found it difficult to track the score on the internet.
The National Stadium to host opening match of Champions Trophy
The National Stadium Karachi will host the opening match of the tournament between Pakistan and New Zealand. The newly renovated stadium will also play host to two more matches including, Afghanistan Vs South Africa and South Africa Vs England and the fans haver urged PCB to improve the facility at the stadium.
