Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant cut a happy figure as he returned to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday.

Pant entered the stadium with all smiles as he exchanged high-fives and hugs with Rajasthan Royal captain Sanju Samson and opener Jos Buttler. He was also seen indulging in a short chat with England's T20 captain in a video posted by the Jaipur franchise before the duo went ahead with their training.

Earlier, Pant made a return to professional cricket after recovering from a fatal accident which took place on December 30, 2022. 

His much-awaited return to the lucrative tournament garnered much fanfare as he received a standing ovation while entering the pitch in Delhi Capitals' inaugural clash against Punjab Kings. 

It looked like Pant started from where he left on return as he tried to play all kinds of shots in his book but could not get going as he was dismissed on 18 runs off 13 deliveries. 

He was also a constant chatterbox behind the stumps as he continued to guide the bowlers in his own style.
