Chennai Super Kings (CSK) veteran MS Dhoni, who stepped down as a captain ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, is keen on making use of his complete potential in what is supposedly his farewell year. 

The former CSK captain gave fans another reason to cheer about as he bowled as a leg-spinner in the practice session ahead of the IPL 2024 clash against Gujarat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Tuesday while his teammates Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja enjoyed the proceedings. 

The official X handle of IPL took note of the moment and said, "Another addition to @ChennaiIPL 's bowling lineup for tonight? 😉 Which way is the ball turning 🤭," along with the pictures from the practice session. 

Incidentally, the Ranchi-stumper has never bowled in his 252 appearances in the lucrative tournament but has one wicket in the ODIs, and it would be highly unlikely that he bowls against Gujarat on Tuesday.

Even though Dhoni gave up his captaincy, anticipating his retirement from the IPL, he remains a central figure in the CSK dug out.  

He was also seen sharing a light-hearted moment with GT's Ashish Nehra and sharing valuable tips with all-rounder Vijay Shankar and Rahul Tewatia during the practice session before the start of the game.
