After getting signed by Mumbai Indians (MI) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, right-arm pacer Deepak Chahar is prepping up hard ahead of the upcoming season. The former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer is showing no signs of stopping as he is hitting targets in the nets during the practice session organized by his current side, MI.

Deepak Chahar Hits Bull's Eye In The Practice Session

Deepak Chahar, who has been a valuable asset and can swing the ball both ways, especially in the power play with his ability to deliver accurate yorkers, is doing wonders in the Mumbai Indians camp as he was seen bowling pinpoint precise deliveries in the practice session.

The video posted by Mumbai Indians on their social media handles displays Chahar aiming for the target after being asked by the Mumbai Indians staff, as he hits the bull's eye on demand without fail.

For the unversed, Chahar was bagged by the Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction last year for a record sum of ₹9.25 crore after CSK failed to acquire him having bid up to ₹9 crore, but eventually backed out, as it was MI who went aggressively to add him to their 2025 roster.

Deepak Chahar Prepares For MI-CSK Clash On March 23rd

Chahar, who has featured in 81 IPL matches so far, has bagged 77 wickets at an economy of 7.98 while averaging 28.84 in his overall career. This season, Chahar will be MI's go-to bowler right from ball one as he will have a massive responsibility of taking forward the MI legacy while partnering with Trent Boult at the beginning of the innings.

The Agra-born pacer, who has spent most of his IPL career under MS Dhoni's captaincy, will be playing against his beloved CSK franchise in MI's first match of the season on March 23rd in Chennai.
