Gambhir is the KKR mentor [X]

Gautam Gambhir is nothing less than an emotion for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fans.  A testament to that was visible during a recent interaction when a fan unequivocally displayed his raw emotion for the KKR mentor.

In a video which went viral on social media, the fan broke down while interacting with Gautam Gambhir and asked him to never leave the franchise.

"Never leave us. We have been through tough times in your absence," he said, dedicating the lines of a Bengali classic, "tomay hrid majhare rakhbo chere debo na". The lines translates into, ""I will keep you in my heart, I will not let you go."

He further ended the conversation by urging Gambhir to never leave the franchise.

Gambhir's first stint with KKR between 2011-17 as a player was historic as the franchise won the IPL title twice, qualified for the playoffs five times, and reached the finals of the Champions League T20 once in 2014. 

He continues to guide the franchise to newer heights in his second stint as a mentor. Under his mentorship, the franchise has hardly put a foot wrong in the ongoing season of the lucrative tournament as they sit on the top of the table with 16 points from 11 matches.
