Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as India's head coach and all eyes would be on how he goes about his business as a coach in the international arena. He is known for his strong and clear opinions, and now a old video has popped up where Gautam Gambhir is seen expressing his views on the injury management of players.

Gambhir stated that if the player is good enough, then one should all play all three formats and he is not in favour of players missing a specific format due to workload management and injury and added that if the player is fit enough, he or she should play all formats. It was considered as an indirect message to players like Hardik Pandya, who are good enough to play Test cricket but it not playing the format to manage the workload.

"I am a strong believer in one thing, if you are good then you need to play all 3 formats of the game. I'm not in favour of playing specific formats and missed other format because of workload management & injury. I believe you should play all 3 formats."

Gambhir Success For KKR

Gambhir was at the forefront of KKR's success in IPL 2024 as a mentor, and that success played a big role in his appointment as India's head coach. He is set to kick-start his tenure with India's tour of Sri Lanka starting on 27th of July.
