The 2023 World Cup fever seems to have captivated cricket enthusiasts around the globe, and nowhere is this fervor more palpable than in the heart of India. As the cricket-crazy nation braces itself for this prestigious tournament, the Mumbai Indians, one of India’s most celebrated cricket franchises, have released an inspiring promotional video that not only ignites the spirit of the game but also uplifts the hopes and aspirations of every Indian cricket fan.

The video features a series of creative canvases of India’s numerous World Cup 2023 stars, and a young kid sporting an Indian jersey walking past them to glance at the coveted trophy.

Mumbai Indians comes up with inspirational World Cup 2023 promo

A day prior to India’s opening World Cup 2023 fixture against Australia, celebrated IPL franchise Mumbai Indians shared an uplifting promotional video for the ‘Men in Blue’ on their social media platforms.

The video, lasting 43 seconds, features paintings of several World Cup 2023 Indian stars, including the likes of Mumbai Indians’ very own Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.

The Indian team, under Rohit Sharma, will commence their World Cup 2023 campaign with a high-profile clash against Australia on October 8. Their much-awaited fixture will be played out at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

They will subsequently face Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 11 before shifting bases to the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium to go up against arch-rivals Pakistan.

The ongoing tournament marks the first-ever World Cup edition to be held entirely in India, having previously co-hosted the event in 1987, 1996 and 2011.

With the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli nearing their retirement ages, the 2023 World Cup might well be their final crack at the trophy.
