Pakistan veteran Mohammad Rizwan has emerged as one of the leading forces of his side’s batting department in the ongoing 2023 World Cup. The cricketer punched out a scintillating 68 against Netherlands and another 131* in a stunning run-chase against Sri Lanka during Pakistan’s Hyderabad leg of the tournament.

Rizwan also slapped crucial 40s against India and Australia before sustaining a rare failure against Afghanistan. Regardless of his team’s dwindling fortunes, the cricketer himself seems to be enjoying his World Cup 2023 stay in India as he was recently spotted playfully interacting with a young cricket enthusiast during one of Pakistan’s training sessions.

Hours prior to Pakistan’s vital World Cup 2023 standoff against Afghanistan, several ‘Men in Green’ players gathered at the venue for a training session. At one point, when Mohammad Rizwan was making his way outside the boundary with his cricket gear, the batting veteran spotted a young fan posing in front of a camera for some fun clicks.

Rizwan ended up approaching the kid and the two shared a seemingly fun interaction with each other.

On the cricketing front, Mohammad Rizwan has scored 302 runs across five Pakistan matches of the 2023 World Cup and is currently only behind Quinton de Kock, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the tournament’s leading run-getter race.

The 31-year-old will now turn up for his side in their subsequent World Cup 2023 fixture against a rampaging South African unit on October 27. The upcoming match, also set to be played in Chennai, marks a must-win one for Pakistan as a defeat at this stage of the competition will worsen their chances of a top four finish.
