After a disappointing Champions Trophy where Pakistan crashed out of the group stage, the team is now focused on the upcoming white-ball challenge against the mighty New Zealand side. The series will begin on March 16 and the Pakistan team is busy in the training camp set up in Lahore.

Once the three-day camp gets over, the white-ball team will fly to New Zealand for a riveting contest, but prior to that, their bowlers are sweating it out in nets before the main clash Vs New Zealand.

Rauf delivers killer bouncer in nets

The two most senior pacers, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf have been bending their backs as the duo are looking to impress the selectors after a poor showing in the Champions Trophy. However, in one of the nasty moments, Rauf delivered a deadly bouncer which almost injured a Pakistan batter.

Rauf looked threatening as he charged in the nets and bowled a killer ball as the batter failed to pull it away and got stuck on the back of his helmet. This reminded fans of Phil Hughes, who tragically lost his life after being hit on the head in a domestic match in 2014.

Rauf dropped from ODI squad Vs NZ

Interestingly, Haris Rauf was selected in the T20I squad for the series Vs the Kiwis, but was dropped from the ODI team after a poor performance in the Champions Trophy. In 2 matches, he picked up just 2 wickets, at an average of 67.50, with an economy rate of 7.94.

He was taken to the cleaners in the competition and thus, he faced the wrath of the selectors and was dropped from the ODIs.
