In a moment that warmed hearts across the cricketing world, Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid, currently bound to a wheelchair due to a recent leg injury, was spotted on Tuesday having a heartfelt chat with Kolkata Knight Riders players in Guwahati ahead of their upcoming clash.

Yes, the man who’s always stood tall on and off the field was quite literally seated this time, but that didn’t stop him from sharing wisdom, smiles and genuine cricket vibes with a few familiar faces in purple and gold.

Dravid Shares A Laugh With KKR Players From His Wheelchair In Guwahati

Dravid’s current situation isn’t your typical coaching gig. The Wall of Indian cricket injured his leg while playing in a Karnataka State Cricket Association league match for Vijaya Cricket Club and has been wheeling around ever since.

The visuals of Dravid chatting with KKR players like Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer despite the injury quickly went viral, and why not? The scene had all the feels: mutual respect, a bit of nostalgia and plenty of cricket chatter.

Royals Want A Bounce-Back And So Do KKR

Meanwhile, both RR and KKR are entering this game with their egos bruised and confidence dented. Rajasthan were taken apart by Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opener, while Kolkata were outclassed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The big hitters didn’t fire, the bowlers leaked runs, and captaincy looked just a bit off from both sides. But that’s the beauty of IPL, it’s a quick turnaround game. Lose one, win the next, and you’re right back in the mix.

RR Banking On Parag, KKR Hope For Nortje Boost

With Dravid watching closely from the dugout, Riyan Parag will be expected to take the reins more confidently this time around in the RR vs KKR clash. Rajasthan fans will hope to see sharper bowling plans and more proactive leadership.

For KKR, all eyes are on Anrich Nortje’s fitness. The South African speedster is still recovering from a back strain, but if cleared, he’ll walk straight into the XI in place of Spencer Johnson.

KKR are also hoping their mystery man Varun Chakravarthy finds his mojo again. The spinner was played with ease by RCB batters in IPL 2025 opener.

Come Wednesday, RR and KKR will battle it out for redemption. But off the field, one meeting between a legend and a few young guns may have already won the day.
