As the Asia Cup approaches, the Indian players are toiling hard in the conditioning camp at Alur. 

While India will mainly be wary of their arch-rivals Pakistan, they have not had any fond memories of facing Bangladesh either recently.

Notably, Bangladesh had defeated India 2-1 in an ODI series last year. Though it was supposed to be a relatively easy tour for India and the first fixture also moved on similar lines, it was Mehidy Hasan Miraz's heroics that set the tone for Bangladesh for what was about to come.

Chasing 187 runs, Bangladesh got reduced to 136/9 by the Indian bowlers. The game looked done and dusted for the hosts. However, a 51-run partnership for the final wicket between Mehidy and Mustafizur Rahman clinched an unlikely win for Bangladesh.

Mehidy's counter-attacking 39-ball 38 included a drop catch but as the result was, it proved to be a costly miss for India. His knock included two sixes and four fours.

Recently, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) published the highlights of Mehidy's innings on their official YouTube channel.

Mehidy's match-winning cameo was followed by a scintillating ton as Bangladesh achieved a series-win, riding on his back.

Though India and Bangladesh are placed in different groups for the Asia Cup, the two teams can meet in the Super Four round of the competition.
