Legendary trio of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were part of leading Australian broadcaster Fox Cricket's 'all-time ODI XI' picked in the aftermath of the ICC World Cup 2023 which concluded last Sunday (November 19).

The master blaster and his two able successors of Indian One-Day batting featured brightly in Fox's star-studded line-up picked on the basis of greatness achieved and influence made in popularising the format over the years.

From India, it was the maestro and the two contemporary giants of Indian cricket that formed the esteemed part of an XI full of legends and great performers of the One-Day Internationals. Tendulkar rightfully opens the batting in Fox's special XI with his unmatched tally of 18,426 runs in ODIs over 463 matches.

The great man opens the innings alongside fellow Mumbaikar Rohit, for whom he would've been an idol and an inspiration growing up. Rohit, who overcame initial strife to dominate the format in the past decade, now boasts of 10,709 runs in 262 ODIs, including three double centuries and a record for most hundreds in World Cup history.

The two big names are followed by another as Kohli storms into Fox's all-time ODI XI with his remarkable body of work in the format. Hailed as one of the greatest to have ever graced the field in the 50-over version, the experienced Indian No.3 features with an astonishing 13,848 runs in 292 matches and an unparalleled 50 centuries in the format, a record he achieved by surpassing his hero Tendulkar's tally in the World Cup 2023.

Kohli is notably positioned at No.4 in Fox's line-up, a spot below his longstanding spot in the Indian team as Australian great Ricky Ponting reigns in as captain at No.3 in the esteemed playing XI for his greatness with the bat and also two World Cup titles as skipper. One spot below Kohli in the team is the swagger king from Trinidad Sir Vivian Richards with his pathbreaking belligerence and domination of opposition attacks.

Sri Lanka's legendary wicketkeeper-batter and former skipper Kumar Sangakkara is No.6 in the line-up with Pakistan's 'Sultan of Swing' Wasim Akram placed No.7 for his ability to run through sides but also useful powerhitting game down the order.

The incisive bowling attack includes three Australian match-winners in the 2015 World Cup 'Player of the tournament' Mitchell Starc, spin legend Shane Warne and his ace pace mate Glenn McGrath and finally Lankan giant Muttiah Muralitharan.
