A number of Pakistan players, including Imam-ul-Haq, were recently spotted refining their fielding skills during a pre-season fitness camp in Karachi. Assisted with fielding specialist Masroor, the players used a cushion to make a predicted dive each time to their right to catch the ball.

Following the conclusion of a disastrous 2024 T20 World Cup campaign in the USA, the Pakistan cricket team is currently slated to host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series at home.

Pakistan players sharpen fielding skills with a cushion

Imam-ul-Haq and several other Pakistan players used a cushion to safeguard themselves while sharpening their catching skills during a pre-season training camp in Karachi. The cricketers were spotted taking a flight towards their right to safely land onto the mattress to catch the dipping ball.

The Pakistan cricket team, under Babar Azam, recently crashed out of the opening round of the 2024 T20 World Cup in USA. The ‘Men in Green’ coped demoralizing defeats at the hands of tournament debutants USA and arch-rivals India in their initial Group A games itself.

As of now, the Pakistan team is scheduled to host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series between August and September. Test specialist Imam-ul-Haq will be expected to return to the playing group after featuring in Pakistan’s squad for a tour of Australia earlier this year.

The Test series against Bangladesh also forms a part of the ongoing 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
