Warwickshire County Cricket Club (WCCC) have signed India's spinning all-rounder Jayant Yadav for the remainder of the County Championship season. Warwickshire have three matches left against Somerset, Gloucestershire and Hampshire. The team is placed eighth in the division one table, with one win, five losses, and as many draws.

Yadav will join Mohammed Siraj, who will also be available for the final three games. The off-spinning all-rounder has played six Tests and two ODIs for India, having made his international debut in 2016.

The 32-year-old is also the only Indian player to have registered a Test ton, coming in to bat at number 9.

The Gujarat Titans (GT) player has vast experience of playing domestic cricket, having made 64 First-Class, 60 List-A, and 73 T20 appearances for teams like India A, Rest of India, Haryana, and Mumbai Indians, amongst others.

Speaking about his stint with Warwickshire, Yadav said,

"This will be my first County Championship experience and I'm incredibly excited to join up with the squad for the final three games. When I was asked if I would like to join Warwickshire it was something I couldn't say no to. Having played my sixth Test earlier this year, I believe these three games will help me improve my game for more opportunities in the near future,"

Paul Farbrace, Director of Cricket, welcomed the off-spinner with open arms.

"Jayant is another fantastic addition to the squad, and we're excited to welcome him to Warwickshire. Jayant has played Test cricket this year and adding his first-class experience to our bowling attack could be vital in the final three games."
