India are all set to tour Australia for a white-ball series after completing the ongoing Test series against West Indies, which concludes on October 14. The Men in Blue will shift the caravan to the Australia tour with Optus Stadium hosting the first ODI on October 19.

More than the Windies Test, fans are excited about the Australia tour, as it will mark the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after a six-month absence. The fans last saw their idols play for India in the Champions Trophy final on March 9.

Virat, Rohit's travel plan revealed

In the latest events, reports have revealed the travel plans for Virat and Rohit, as well as when they will join Team India to leave for Australia. According to Press Trust of India, Virat, who is in London, will not directly travel to Australia; rather, he will have a touchdown in his home state, Delhi, where India are playing the 2nd Test against the West Indies.

The BCCI has planned to send players to Australia in two batches. The first one leaves early morning on 15th October and the second one later in the evening. Now the report stated that Virat will likely land in Delhi either on 14th October if he is leaving with the first batch or in the early hours on 15th October, which is the day of departure. Rohit, who is in Mumbai, will also travel to Delhi, where he will join the team and then leave for Australia.

“Virat and Rohit will touch down in the capital either on the day of departure or a day prior,” a BCCI source told PTI and quoted by Hindustan Times.

The upcoming series is an emotional one for Rohit and Virat as there is a lot of chatter around them not being in plans for 2027 ODI World Cup and a failure vs Australia will crush those dreams.
