Former India captain Virat Kohli is enjoying his time away from cricket. The 36-year-old's last appearance was in the IPL 2025 final, following which he travelled to London to be with his family. 

During his time away from cricket, Virat likes to also stay away from the limelight, social media and the fans. However, in the latest events, after a long time, the Indian star has hogged the internet as he was spotted on the streets after a long time.

A picture has gone viral on the internet, where Virat Kohli clicked a photo with Shash Kiran. Virat looks unrecognisable as he has donned a grey beard. The latest look sent the internet into a shockwave, looking at India star's unmaintained beard. 

The latest look also sparked retirement speculations as fans thought that Virat is losing the hunger to play cricket. Notably, the right-handed batter is active in just one format after announcing retirement from Tests and T20Is. Further, the 36-year-old is eyeing the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Virat Blames 'Grey Beard' For His Retirement

Notably, it is Virat's first public appearance since attending Wimbledon 2025 in London. During his recent visit to watch Tennis, Kohli also shed light on his Test retirement, where he stated that he knew the time was up when you have to colour your beard every week. 

 "Just coloured my beard two days ago. You know it's time when you are colouring your beard every four days," Kohli said speaking to Vijay Amritraj.

When Will Virat Kohli Play Next?

Notably, Virat won't be in action for the next two months as his next appearance will be in October when India tours Australia for an ODI series. Meanwhile, a recent report suggested that there is no certainty of Virat and Rohit Sharma being picked for the 2027 World Cup.
