India's star batter Virat Kohli has begun his preparations for the upcoming white-ball series against Australia, as the right-handed batter was clicked post-training at Lord's facilities. Virat, who is at present in London with his family, is sweating hard in the gym and nets to return in Indian colours.

Virat Kohli Trains In London For A India Comeback

Notably, Kohli has not played a solitary game since lifting the IPL trophy on June 3. Talking about featuring for India, the Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand was his last for the 36-year-old.  

Following the training session at the Lord's facilities, Virat also posed for photos with fans, who quickly took to social media platforms to update the fans about their idol's whereabouts and recent preparations. Previously, Virat's picture from net session alongside a coacht too went viral and broke the internet with that photo.

Virat Kohli's Retirement Rumours Take Over The Internet

Notably, Virat is only active in ODIs as the 36-year-old has announced his retirement from T20Is and Tests. The right-handed batter is eyeing to play the 2027 ODI World Cup before bidding a farewell to international cricket.

However, in the recent events, following India's success in England, reports emerged that Virat, alongside India captain Rohit Sharma, are not in BCCI's plan to be a part of the 2027 ODI World Cup. The board has reportedly conveyed the same to the veterans, who are now looking to announce retirement following the Australia series.

While there is no merit to the recent reports, Virat too has not squashed or shrugged off these rumours. Meanwhile, shedding light on the Australia tour, the ODI series will be held from October 19 to 25.
