The 24th match of the Indian Premier League will feature the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) up against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy stadium. RCB are coming on the back off a stellar win over MI in their last match and will be eager to win their maiden home game this season.

This season, unlike the last time, every single RCB player has contributed with the bat but the foundation has been laid by their talisman, Virat Kohli. He already has two fifties to his name in the ongoing season and was instrumental in RCB's victory over MI.

Ahead of the DC clash, Kohli sets his sight on Rohit Sharma's massive IPL record and he could break it against the Capitals.

Kohli set to break Rohit's six-hitting record

So far in the IPL, Rohit Sharma has 282 sixes in 252 innings and Kohli has a chance to eclipse that tally in the next match. The RCB great has 278 sixes in 248 innings and needs just 5 more big hits to surpass his India teammate.

Since the start of the 2024 season, Virat Kohli has hammered 44 sixes, while Rohit has 25 to his name and Kohli now has a great chance to go past his Indian teammate in the next match.

Rohit is second on the six-hitting list with Chris Gayle leading the charts with 357 to his name, and Kohli has a chance to surpass Rohit and become the player with second most sixes in the league, if he slams 5 big hits. This season, the RCB opener has 6 sixes to his name and will be eager to slam a couple of more in the game against DC.
