The charismatic Indian batter Virat Kohli is well aware of his current form and thinks this rough patch will help him to learn and grow as a cricketer.

Lately, Kohli has been enduring a slump in form, wherein he has been unable to convert his starts into big innings. In the four innings of the recent white-ball leg of the England Tour, the 33-year-old could accumulate only 45 runs.

Furthermore, he opted to take a rest during India's recent assignments against West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Kohli will now be seen in Asia Cup, which will commence on 28th August, and serve as a precursor to an all-important T20I World Cup.

Ahead of the tournament, the stylish batter has not lost his self-belief and thinks he will overcome the ebbs and flows of this game to come out as a better cricketer.

“I want to learn from it and I want to understand what are the core values that I have, as a sportsperson and as a human being. As long as I'm ticking those boxes, I know there are ups and downs, and when I come out of this phase, I know how consistent I can be," Kohli was quoted as saying on Star Sports show Game Plan.

Kohli counts on his rich experience to return to form

Kohli thinks he has secured a longer rope in international cricket due to his counter-attacking ability against different bowling attacks in the crunch moments.

He added that his rhythm is still intact and he is confident in his abilities. Furthermore, Kohli aims to be among the key run-scorers for the Men in Blue for the upcoming series/tournaments.
