Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is currently facing severe health complications, as doctors on Monday (December 23) confirmed he has brain clots. The 52-year-old cricketer, who has had a series of health setbacks in recent years, was admitted to Akruti Hospital in Bhiwandi, Thane district, over the weekend after his condition deteriorated. 

Kambli’s decline in health was marked by complaints of urinary infection and muscle cramps, which led to further complications, and ultimately, he was diagnosed with clots in his brain.  According to recent reports, medical professionals have been closely monitoring the brain clots, and additional tests have been scheduled to assess the full extent of the damage. 

According to reports of oneindia, Akruti Hospital has announced that it will provide Vinod Kambli with free medical treatment for life and the hospital has also ensured that the cricketer receives the best possible care during his ongoing health battle. S. Singh, the in-charge of the Hospital, expressed his deep concern for Kambli’s wellbeing and emphasised that the institution will provide all necessary resources to help the former cricketer recover. 

Vinod Kambli's Health Challenges Over The Years

Vinod Kambli’s health issues are not new, and his struggles with severe medical conditions have been in the news for a long time now. His health deteriorated significantly in 2010. He suffered a heart attack in 2013, and he underwent two heart surgeries, and despite them, his health continued to decline. 

Despite his health problems, he has also faced depression. And according to reports, his health has also been marred by his addiction to alcohol.
