Cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli recently reunited in Mumbai at the unveiling of their coach Ramakant Achrekar's memorial. The two, who have been close childhood friends, shared a touching moment. Kambli, who has faced health issues in recent years, couldn't stand up to hug Tendulkar properly but still managed to connect with him warmly. Tendulkar reassured everyone that all was well with a smile.

In a video that quickly went viral, Tendulkar walked over to greet Kambli. However, Kambli seemed unwilling to let go of his childhood friend's hand. Kambli holded on tightly as they exchanged a brief moment. Even when Sachin Tendulkar tried to move on, Kambli held on until the host called out to Tendulkar several times, prompting him to finally release the grip.  In another touching clip, Kambli embraced Tendulkar and even touched his head.

The unveiling of the memorial was an important event, celebrating the legacy of Ramakant Achrekar, who played a key role in shaping the careers of Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli. The event was attended by Tendulkar, MNS chief Raj Thackeray, and other important figures.

Fans have been closely following Kambli's health struggles, especially after a heart attack in 2013 and a recent clip from 2024 showing him struggling to walk.

Kambli And Tendulkar’s Historic 664-Run Partnership

Both players made history as teenagers when they scored a combined 664-run partnership in a school match, with Kambli scoring 349 and Tendulkar 326. However, Kambli’s international cricket career was short, the former cricket star played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs before retiring in 2000.

Off the field, Kambli has faced personal and financial difficulties, relying on his pension from the BCCI to support his family. Despite his struggles, Kambli has denied rumours about his health.
