Venkatesh Iyer is the leading run-scorer for KKR this season so far and has been surprisingly used as an Impact player in almost every game. In the ongoing game against CSK too, he walked in at number 3 as an Impact player replacing Suyash Sharma. The left-hander has scored a fantastic century this season against MI and KKR would need him to replicate the same in this game as they have a mammoth target of 236 in front of them.

Venkatesh Iyer walked in after KKR lost Sunil Narine in the fourth over of the first over and saw N Jagadeesan departing in the very next over, as KKR lost two wickets with just one run on the board

CSK got to the highest ever IPL total at the Eden Gardens courtesy of a brilliant fifties by Rahane, Dube and Conway. At the time of writing, KKR are 24-2 at the end of four ovesr and have Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana at the crease. They surely have an uphill task in front of them and there is still a suspense on Jason Roy’s fitness who did not open the innings after suffering an injury during fielding in the first half of the game.
