United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bangladesh are all set to collide in the first T20I of the two-match series, starting September 25 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh will take the field without their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan, who is busy playing in the Caribbean Premier League 2022. Nurul Hasan, who is returning from an injury, will lead the side in Shakib's absence.
The side will also be without the duo of Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad. While Mushfiqur retired from T20Is recently, Riyad has been sacked from the team in the shortest-format.
The Tigers last competed in the 2022 Asia Cup and had to suffer from a group stage exit after losing their matches against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, UAE have axed Rohan Mustafa, their most capped player across formats. Chundangapoyil Rizwan will captain the team.
Talking about their recent form, the side took part in the Asia Cup 2022 Qualifiers, however, failed to make it through to the main tournament.
