In a recent development, the tentative plan for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction has come to light.

As per a report of Cricbuzz, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants to conduct the IPL 2023 auction in mid-December with the exact date coming out as December 16, 2022. The schedule has been informally proposed to all the franchises.

As it was a mega-auction for the last season, the BCCI has decided upon the mini version of it this time around. The salary purse of a franchise has been set up as INR 95 crore for the upcoming auction. It can increase incase of a franchise releasing or trading a player.

CSK reject offers related to Jadeja's trade

In another news, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have declined to trade Ravindra Jadeja, with two franchises, one of them being Delhi Capitals (DC), seeking a swap.

For the unversed, rumours were afloat that the star all-rounder will leave CSK after the infamous captaincy episode that panned during the IPL 2022.

Reportedly, there were requests for the trades of Rahul Tewatia and R Sai Kishore but Gujarat Titans (GT) did not entertain them.
