Experienced Spirit bowlers skittles Fire batting line-up
Opting to bat first, Fire got off to a positive start with the 46-run stand from openers Sarah Bryce (33) and Tammy Beaumont (19). However, their dismissals opened the floodgates for the Spirit.
Only Nicola Carey (28) could provide a notable contribution in the middle-order, as Fire finished on 119/9 in their designated quota of 100 balls.
Freya Davies was the most successful bowler for Spirit with three scalps, followed by Megan Schutt and Amelia Kerr taking two each.
