Opting to bat first, Fire got off to a positive start with the 46-run stand from openers Sarah Bryce (33) and Tammy Beaumont (19). However, their dismissals opened the floodgates for the Spirit.

Freya Davies was the most successful bowler for Spirit with three scalps, followed by Megan Schutt and Amelia Kerr taking two each.
