Wahab Riaz will miss the remainder of the matches of the ongoing Hundred Men's competition due to injury.

The left-arm pacer made a single appearance for the Northern Superchargers on August 14 against London Spirit and finished with figures of 0/15 off 10 balls.

The 37-year also missed the first fixture of Superchargers due to incorrect paperwork, resulting in him forced to return home. However, he was available for the rest of the tournament after his return.

Wayne Parnell replaces Wahab Riaz

Proteas veteran pacer Wayne Parnell has replaced Riaz in the Superchargers squad due to his recent performances. He picked his best T20I figures of 5/30 in his latest outing against England.

In 235 T20s, Parnell has scalped 236 wickets at an economy of 7.83, and is a quality replacement for the Superchargers. He is expected to be available for the team for their clash against Birmingham Phoenix on August 19.

Can Parnell trigger a turnaround for Superchargers?

Superchargers have secured a single victory in four league matches. After winning their first fixture, they have secured three successive losses. They will look to get their campaign back on track, when they face Phoenix in their fifth league match.

Parnell will surely bring his experience and composure to the team, which can help them ace crunch moments. The 33-year-old can be used as a death bowler, with the presence of David Willey in the powerplay overs.
