Guyana Amazon Warriors captain Stafanie Taylor top-scores for her side for the second time in succession in match number three of the ongoing Women’s 6IXTY.
Her innings cantered the Warriors to an easy run-chase against the Barbados Royals, after Cherry-Ann Fraser struck thrice in her two-over spell earlier in the game.
Women’s 6IXTY 2022: Warriors douse Royals with 5 wickets
After securing an easy 28-run win over the Knight Riders, the high-flying Barbados Royals were humbled with a five-wicket bashing by the Warriors.
The Hayley Matthews-led side got shot out for just 58 without facing their 10 overs, with Cherry-Ann Fraser inflicting most of the damage through her three-fer.
Royals’ Chloe Tryon, who headlined her side’s opening win of the triple-header evening, top-scored again with a rapid 24.
In response, the Guyana Amazon Warriors scorched down Royals total with much disdain, securing their second win of the evening off just eight overs.
At the end of the opening day of action, the Warriors sit comfortable at the top of the points table. Barbados Royals’ easy win places them at second while winless Trinbago outfit remains at third.
