Leicestershire vs Yorkshire


Leicestershire Foxes and Yorkshire Vikings faced each other in a crucial clash, which directly impacted the qualification for the knock-outs. The David Willey-led side opted to bowl first. The Foxes had a good start with the contribution of Nick Welch (46) and Arron Lilley (35). Then Colin Ackermann continued his superb form to remain unbeaten at 72 off 46 and propelled the team to a total of 211. Willey was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets. 


In reply, Finn Allen and Dawid Malan started well but were dismissed early. Adam Lyth was the top scorer yet again for the team with a knock of 52 off 25 balls. The likes of Tom Kohler Cadmore and Harry Brook could not contribute much, and the team lost by 60 runs. Ackermann contributed with the ball to take two wickets as well.

Derbyshire vs Durham


Derbyshire faced the challenge of Durham at County Ground, Derby. The home team won the toss and opted to bowl first. Almost all the batters of the visiting team contributed in a hefty manner. Oliver Robinson and Michael Jones returned with 40+ runs to help the team in posting 193 on the board. Matt Mckiernan picked up three wickets. 


Then, Wayne Madsen hit his first hundred in the T20 format to seal a terrific victory for the team. The likes of Hilton Cartwright and Shan Masood contributed 30+ runs as well. With nine wins in 14 league matches, Derbyshire qualified for the knock-outs.

Worcestershire vs Nottinghamshire


Worcestershire Rapids faced the Nottinghamshire Outlaws in a crucial league stage clash at New Road, Worcester. The visitors invited Rapids to bat first. 


The experienced campaigners Colin Munro (27) and Moeen Ali (28) steered the team well after a bad start. Then, Ed Barnard hit 38 off 23, and Worcestershire posted 159 on the board. Jake Ball was the most successful bowler for visitors with four wickets. 


Then, Outlaws had a disappointing start with Alex Hales and Joe Clarke departing early in the chase. However, it was one of the finest knocks from Ben Duckett in this edition, which got support from Tom Moores to seal the game for the team with eight balls to spare. 


Despite the win, Notts failed to qualify for the quarter-finals. Barnard and Moeen played their last T20 Blast game for Worcs before joining Warwickshire next year.

Lancashire vs Warwickshire


It was another critical clash on the last day of the league stage, with Lancashire Lightning taking on Warwickshire Bears at Manchester. 


Warwickshire posted a total of 168, with the knocks from Adam Hose (50), Dan Mouslet (41), and Chris Benjamin (35). The trio of Gleeson, Hartley, and Wells scalped three wickets each for Lightning. 


Then the seasoned campaigners Phil Salt (33) and Dane Vilas (42) were impressive to lay a stable platform for the lower middle order. Wells (26) and Hartley (19*) helped Lancs secure a thrilling victory in the last over. 


With this win, Lancashire finished in the second position, while Warwickshire maintained its pole position in the table.
